Remembering Our Sister in Christ

Helen Kulik

On August 27, 2023, Union Congregational Church said goodbye to our beloved Helen Kulik. A member of Union for almost 80 years, Helen joyfully reflected the love of Jesus through her enthusiasm, her myriad ways of service and her constant prayer for her family, her fellow church members and our community.

We are deeply saddened by her loss even as we trust in the promise God gives us of eternal life.

His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant...: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. (Matt 25:23)

Our History

The Union Church meetinghouse was built in the autumn of 1835 on the banks of the Powwow River and overlooking the Merrimack River. At that time the area known as Point Shore was part of Salisbury, Massachusetts. Initially founded by a small group of mostly women (21 of 27) as The Union Evangelical Church of Salisbury & Amesbury.

The Union Congregational Church of today is a member of the

National Association of Congregational Christian Churches,

which traces its roots to the faith of our Pilgrim founders.
